Activities, Well-Being & Events Coordinator, Giltbrook, Nottingham, NG16 2GE

We are looking for an Activities, Well-Being & Events Coordinator for our fabulous care home situated in Giltbrook, Nottingham.

Our beautiful award-winning care home, located in Giltbrook, Nottingham, requires experienced, professional staff to expand our team. We strive for and provide a high standard of care for our residents. Our care home offers exceptional nursing and dementia care in a lovely setting with great care and friendly staff. We celebrate the close-knit family and community we have in our home, celebrating each resident, creating good relationships with them and their relatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a fun and creative individual with a passion for care and an artistic flair. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced activities coordinator or a university graduate (with knowledge of dementia, mental health and/or social care). Relevant NVQ is preferable, but not required.

Location: Giltbrook, Nottingham, NG16 2GE (near the IKEA Nottingham) – please check to see if you are able to commute before applying.

Days: Flexible, must be available to work weekends.

Hours: Fulltime at least 30 hours per week

Shifts: Approximately 10am-3pm

Pay: National Minimum Wage

Contract: Permanent

The role will include:

• Activities: Planning and delivering group and individual therapeutic activities to our lovely ladies and gentlemen some of which are residential, nursing and some with dementia.
• Organising events: We host a range of seasonal events, which generally involves raising money for our residents as well as working in partnership with local organisations such as schools, churches and community groups.
• Social Media: Update our Facebook page, produce monthly newsletters for our residents and their relatives. Staff are well supported at all times; we offer continual training in a friendly environment. We encourage an atmosphere of good communication, learning and look for feedback for ways in which to improve our services.
